uniSIGN™ System Overview

What is uniSIGN™?

uniSIGN™, short for Universal Signatures, is Universal Creative's custom centralized online system that allows Team Members to send visitors documents, like Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA's) (and other Legal Documents) for signature via e-mail, and in-person.

Who Created uniSIGN™?

uniSIGN™ was created by Universal Creative's Advanced Technology and Initatives (ATI) Team. The original project team was Jeff Boyles, Linette Sifre, and Nick Puglisi; in partnership with the incredible team at X Studios™.

System Architecture & Logic

uniSIGN™ has grown since it's initial days of simply sending standard Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA's) to a full-blown Visitor Management, Package Delivery Tracking, Facility Management, and Event Mode (In-Person Signature Capture) system used by Universal Creative locations globally.

uniSIGN™ Logic

Below is the latest version of uniSIGN™'s "smart" logic built into the system:

uniSIGN™ Modules

Each section of uniSIGN™ is broken into what we will refer to in this documentation as Modules. A breakdown of each Module is below:

Invites

The core function of uniSIGN™ is it's ability to send documents (typically Non-Disclosure Agreements) to various types of "Visitors" to Universal Creative meetings and locations.

Permission Note

Every user of uniSIGN™ has the ability to send standard Non-Disclosure Agreements from uniSIGN™ (Core Functionality).

Types of Invites
  • In-Person: Invite a visitor to a Universal Creative Office or on-site meeting. Invites will include a Non-Disclosure Agreement (by project/location), instructions on how to access the property location, directions to Universal Property, and QR code for easy check-in (via tablet) upon arrival.
  • NDA Only: Send a visitor a Unilateral (Standard) Non-Disclosure Agreement (by project/location) or additional document(s) virtually. Sweet and to the point, invites will include just the Non-Disclosure Agreement(s) via e-mail.
  • Mass Blast: Need to send multiple documents to a group of Visitors? Instead of sending them one-by-one, use Mass Blast a convenient tool (based off of UCTM TSAT recommendations) that allow UCTM's to send Non-Disclosure Agreements to a group of Visitors.

Permission Note

Mass Blast is not available by default, contact uniSIGN™ Support to share your business case, and have this enabled by user.

Invite Type Meeting Type Differences
In-Person Meeting On-Property (In Person) meetings E-mail contains location, directions and instructions on how to access UDX property, and QR for in-person check-in.
NDA Only Signature / Document signature needed E-mail contains link to NDA only.
Mass Blast Signature / Document signature needed E-mail multiple people from the same company (or individuals) the same NDA.
Visitor Check-In (Lobby iPads)

For Visitors to on-property Universal Creative offices, uniSIGN™ also has a physical 'kiosk mode' for Visitors to check-in and out of to maintain Security, Confidentiality, and Safety.

The kiosk mode is locked down by NBCUniversal's Multiple Device Manager (MDM), has a unique profile for the iPads, and lock them to full-screen mode at all times.

Need to set-up a location or iPad?

We're happy to help partner with UCIT to set-up a New Location and iPads. Please reach out to us at UCuniSIGN@UniParks.com with your request.

Event Mode

Event Mode is perfect for in-person signing and repeat document signatures (think: Containment Testing, Play Testing, Ridership, Filming, etc.). Set-up on the web console, uniSIGN™ Event Mode empowers Project Teams to go paperless and have portable iPads on-hand that repeat documents between guests, including Parent <> Minor relationships.

Getting ready for an event?

Event Mode iPad Module

The Confidentiality & File Security Team oversee the uniSIGN™ system, including Event Mode. Universal Creative Studio Operations have handheld iPads that can be checked out to project teams who want to use uniSIGN™. The iPads have both UDX 'Back of House' Wi-Fi credentials automatically enabled, and back-up AT&T 5G Cell Service for coverage.

Once ready, reach out to us at UCuniSIGN@UniParks.com with your request. Please provide:

  • Dates of Event
  • Event Name/Project Number
  • Project Team Members (needing access to Event Mode)
  • Number of Participants (will dictate iPad's on hand)

Once uniSIGN™ is set-up for your Event, all Project Team Members who have access will receive an automated e-mail letting them know the Event has been set-up, and how to access Event Mode via a unique web URL for the iPads. That e-mail will contain all the information you need for Event Mode.

Security & Facility

As mentioned earlier, uniSIGN™ has made the jump into covering more aspects of Universal Creative's business needs, including Security & Facility Management.

Package/Delivery Notifications

When a package, food delivery, or Swag Order are delivered to your applicable Lobby, the Universal Security Office has unique uniSIGN™ access that they can electronically check-in the item, which will alert Universal Creative Team Members of the delivery (and subsequent pick-up).

Visitor Safety Report

Universal Security Officers have an additional Module in uniSIGN™ that allows them to see how many on-site Visitors there are per-day, and manually check Visitors in/out, and validate compliance with Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) documents.

In the event of an emergency, Security (or Facilities) can generate a report of what Visitors are on-site, what buildings they are checked-in to, and verify everyone has safely made it to designated Muster Stations.
